{home knit home}

I'm home.  :)  And though I'm happy to be back in my routine {which I haven't truly gotten back to...} I'm longingly remembering my recent trip to Scottsdale.  Our whole family joined for a perfect little vacation.  I love my family.  Seriously.

Through all of my adventures this summer, I still managed to find time to knit. {My newest obsession...}I'm knitting through my entire home. A great place to start: the kitchen!  These washcloths are so scrumptious to the touch.  Made from organic cotton, they are a perfect compliment to a sink full of suds.

I've had a couple of friends request them...so, let the knitting continue!  :)

First though, I must get reading through all of your blogs!!  My blog reader is full to the brim of new wonderful posts....How shall I ever get through them?! I also have some fun new recipes to share this week.

{dreaming the day away....}

This house is quite spectacular. I've posted some of their FANTASTIC kitchen pics {click HERE to view those...} I couldn't resist highlighting the rest of the home. The use of color is perfect and mixes modern convenience with craftman beauty...{got to love Seattle}.

I found this home via a friend, who worked for the owners. Their company JAS Design Build does beautiful work...as you can see from the home above! Did you notice the hand molds {previously used for making gloves...} or the perfect subway tile...or the little coves, fantastic for taking a nap or reading...

*So here I am, dreaming the day away, while I should be focusing on the myriad tasks at hand! Sometimes dreams are 'prettier' than reality, so maybe I'll relish, just a tad bit longer. :)

{new venture...}

I've started a new hobby: jewelry making. I've wanted to do this for so long. Why should I wait any longer?! I went down, picked up my tools and went to work. {Mind you, it has only been a week since I started, but I LOVE it!} Maybe I should take a class, but I usually prefer to learn on my own.
Here are some of my recent creations....

Please don't judge the work by the quality of the picture. :) Either way, it's been so much fun coming up with my own creations and working with the wire, etc. In the above creations I used swarovski crystals, frshwater pearls, repurposed beads from an old bracelet and vintage buttons. I've already decided my favorite materials and love that every day I have a new thought pop into my head.

What do you think?!
