I thought I'd share a couple of fun recipes and since we're in Alaska - I thought I'd focus on seafood. I by no means should get credit for them, cause they have either been around for generations or updated by noted chefs. But, food is food - and should be enjoyed! My husband and I have enjoyed the most amazing sushi and fish in general while here. I've never tasted anything so fresh in my entire life.

I love this recipe because 1) I love seafood and french food - so the two mixed are even better! 2) I pretty much adore Ina Garten and consider her one of my top favorite chefs. Her recipes are good, beautiful and surprisingly attainable to replicate. Below is another one from her.

Blini with Smoked Salmon

Grilled Shrimp This simple dish is great!! Rachael Ray is the ultimate "home" cook.

Halibut in Artichoke and Tomato Broth This is a wonderful recipe by Giada de Laurentiis

Individual Baked Alaska
Now, sure, these aren't actual "alaskan recipes" but they're yummy! And most of all I hope they inspire you in your next cooking venture!
